Site Title

After a long wait and many unfortunate circumstances, we arrived in Greece. The first day was wonderful despite the exhaustion. We started by visiting the Parthenon museum and looking at the wonderful preserved artifacts and learning about the history from our tourguide Nikki. We walked to the Parthenon passing by the Herodeon and other sites along the way. After hiking up the acropolis, we got to see the magnificent Parthenon and a wondrous view of the city. It was spectacular. We then walked through part of the city and looked around the market section. We also had lunch and I got to try my first gyro. It was delicious. We finished up at the hotel resting and chatting for a few hours until dinner. After the trouble to get here, it was a great first day and most of us got our luggage today for a lovely cap to the day.
